The Laurels of Toledo is very pleased that many surgeons and attending physicians follow their patients at our facility.
If your physician does not have admitting privileges, our Medical Director or other attending physician will be happy to oversee your care while you are staying with us. If you have any questions regarding your physician coverage, please don't hesitate to contact us at (419) 536-7600. We can assist you to ensure that you will have physician coverage.
The current list of attending physicians at The Laurels of Toledo includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Rania Fahoury, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Fahoury has been an attending physician at The Laurels of Toledo for the past year. She is board certified in Family Medicine and has her own practice as well. Dr. Fahoury has more than 20 years of experience and enjoys taking care of her patients.
David Connell, PhD
Dr. Connell is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Toledo. He is a consultant at various nursing and rehabilitation facilities in the Northwest Ohio area. His clinical focus is Geriatric Psychology and he provides assessments, psycho-therapy and expert evaluations for Probate Court. Dr. Connell is originally from Washington state and relocated to Ohio with his wife and daughters in 1985.
Timothy Hacker, MD
Dr. Hacker has been an attending physician at The Laurels of Toledo for the past 6 months. He graduated from Ohio State with his MD and Ohio Northern University as a registered pharmacist. Dr. Hacker is a member of the American College of Physicians, The American Medical Association, The Ohio State Medical Association, the Ohio Society of Internal Medicine and the Toledo Academy of Medicine.
Nathan Hill, MD
Dr. Hill is a Physiatrist (pain management and physical medicine doctor) with a private practice on Executive Parkway in Toledo, Ohio. He and his team of clinicians help manage pain and related symptoms for patients in skilled nursing facilities and in their private practice office. Dr. Hill works in conjunction with a guest’s attending physician at The Laurels of Toledo to help manage their care on an as-needed basis. He is a graduate of Medical College of Ohio.
Craig Hopple, MD
Dr. Hopple has been an attending physician at The Laurels of Toledo for the past 6 months. He graduated from Indiana University and The Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. Dr. Hopple is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, and the Ohio Society of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hopple is also the Vice Chairman with The Toledo Hospital.
Cletus Iwuagwu, MD
Dr. Iwuagwu is an assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He completed his internship with Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and his fellowship in Geriatric Medicine with the University Hospital in Cleveland. With specific interests in the treatment of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, Dr. Iwuagwu engages in research that identifies and corrects inappropriate prescriptions for the aging population.
Crystal Luke, MD
Dr. Crystal Luke is an attending physician at The Laurels of Toledo and sees patients in her family practice office setting in Sylvania, Ohio as well.
Thomas Padanilam, MD
Dr. Thomas Padanilam is a leading Orthopedic Surgeon in Toledo with a specialization in Foot and Ankle Surgery with Toledo Orthopedic Surgeons. He is the Orthopedic Medical Director for the Orthopedic Center at The Laurels of Toledo. Dr. Padanilam is a Northwestern University graduate and is the Chief of the Division of Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgery at The University of Toledo Medical Center.
